In best aeronautical colleges in Punjab, Desh Bhagat University School of Engineering and Agriculture Science celebrated Engineer’s Day as a remarkable tribute to the greatest Indian Engineer Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Vishweshvaraya (popularly known as Sir MV) under the theme of “A New Industrial Revolution”. Sir MV was held in high regard as a pre-eminent engineer of India.
University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh inaugurated the event with cake cutting ceremony. He motivated the students to take interest in Research & Development and get updates by reading newspapers, research papers and articles related to new technologies. He said that the objective of the university is to spread the light of education in every corner. “We want to ensure that even the weakest of the weak are able to get higher education” said Dr. Zora Singh.
This event was conducted to provide platform for young and fresh engineers to showcase their talent in technical field. Students participated with full fervor. The event included live project exhibition, quiz contest, modeling, dance competition and singing competition. Students presented Gujrati, Punjabi, Bengali and Himachali folk songs, wearing traditional dresses which enthralled the audience. A wonderful dance performance was given by Amit Kumar Student of engineering. Students presented a play on drug issue in Punjab. The play exposed the level of drug problem in Punjab.
